The Fear of God

Something I have noticed among fellow Christians while listening to discussion is that many of them think that the fear of God is merely reverence for God, a honoring of God, similar to the honor that you give your parents (or are supposed to give). But what the Bible teaches is that fear is a terror, or a state of being afraid of a Holy and Righteous God. Why? Because this Holy God we worship named JEHOVAH, is all powerful and rightly brings his wrath upon those who have disobeyed His law.
You see, in America today, we have lost the true sense of who God really is. Many Christians view God as their friend, and rightly so because He is. But what they fail to understand is that God is unapproachable. No one can understand Him and never will. Now, we can understand some things about God, but never all, for, only God knows all.
Every time a person in the Bible comes into the presence of God they fall to the ground upon there face because of the Holiness of God. Imagine, being in the presence of a being who you could not look upon much less understand. You know that He has no beginning and has no end. He sees all spaces of time as one and knows everything about every person, in all times and places. Just knowing this would, and does, bring me to my knees. We need to realize that while God has the power to give live He also possess the power to take it, and remember that "The ways of man are before the eyes of the Lord, and He pondereth all his goings." Proverbs 5:22

I would like to make an interesting point to the millions (an exaggeration) of faithful viewers of my blog!

Matthew 12:33-37 gives the warning of a man's fruit.
Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.
v34. O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance on the heart the mouth speaketh.
v35. A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
v36. But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give an account thereof in the day of judgement.
v37 For by thy word thou shalt be justified, and by the words thou shalt be condemned.

I would like to say that much of the negative campaigning going on in the United States shows the true hearts of those running for president. Many of them are white washed tombs which Jesus rightly called the Religious leaders in Matthew 23:27
"Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchers, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness."

Those who try to debase their opponent with unkind words and falsehoods reveal their true spirit. For it comes out of the baseness of their heart, exposing all.
I am truly grateful to Mike Huckabee for not using negative campaigning to debase his opponents who are fellow Americans. May God reward Governor Mike with a Presidential nomination and may all the mouthes of falsehood be stopped and the blinding truth be shined into the hearts of the American people.

God bless you Governor Huckabee.
